"We, because we are human and finite in our thinking, would assume that God came up with the plan of redemption because mankind had fallen into sin. That is not the case at all. Divine wisdom, now manifest in the person and work of Christ, as Paul tells us, was and is eternal. If you are still looking at Ephesians chapter 3, look down to verse 11. Notice that Paul says, “This was in accordance with the eternal purpose which He carried out in Christ Jesus our Lord,..”
The 'purpose' of God has always been the manifestation of His manifold wisdom in redemption. This 'eternal purpose' was carried out in Christ Jesus. Therefore, there was never a time when the 'eternal purpose' was not planned or considered. I realize that this is hard to get our heads around. We live with the concept of everything has a beginning and everything has an ending. Not so with God."
