"Beginning with verse 15 we read, “So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are at Rome also. For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.”
It is a great sin to play on a person's emotions, move them musically or even with grim or heart-wrenching stories, to get them to make a profession of faith. These methods are used in order to gain the acclaim of perceived success. Because God does not work at the speed we think He should work, or the way that we believe He should work, we cease to patiently wait for the power of God to be exercised in God's time, and intervene by methods come upon by human reasoning. The modern church has become an island of human reasoning and methodology reliant, not on the power of God, but on emotional engineering."
