"We often do not consider Scripture to be relevant or comforting. Yet, as we have noted on many occasions, God, in Scripture, has given us everything we need for life and godliness. Scripture is not to be your second choice for help. In times of need, we are commanded in the Scriptures to pray. In regard to sin, we are commanded in Scripture to flee from it and to confess it and repent when we do sin. In regard to sorrow, we are not to sorrow as those who have no hope because we have hope in Christ."
