Three days without food. The idea here is that they had run out of food. Some may have had more with them than others. Some, having heard that the Lord was in this place, may have dropped everything that they were doing, grabbed their loved ones who needed healing, and traipsed to this desolate place to see the Lord.
The other thing we should probably think about is that different people will show up at different times during these three days. Not everyone arrived at the same time. Those who had been healed probably stuck around to see others healed. What was taking place was not normal. There was no food on the planet worth having if it took them away from the glorious healing work and ministry of the Lord Jesus. In verse 31 we read, “So the crowd marveled as they saw the mute speaking, the crippled restored, and the lame walking, and the blind seeing; and they glorified the God of Israel.” Why did they marvel? “...they saw the mute speaking, the crippled restored, and the lame walking, and the blind seeing;..”
