"The Lord Jesus and the disciples have gone outside the land of Israel into southern Syria. They have come to Tyre and Sidon. Upon arriving, it becomes evident that the Lord's fame has gone before Him. Maybe some of the people that had followed the Lord around the Sea of Galilee, and now to Tyre and Sidon, have announced to the people that the Jewish Messiah has come. Whatever the case, the Lord's work had already been heard about and people had traveled from Syria to Israel to seek healing for themselves or their loved ones. Matthew spoke of this in chapter 4. The Lord has now come into this region and there is a woman who has sought Him out."
