"When the disciples got into the boat, they were probably talking with one another and really feeling good about following the Lord Jesus. They were probably thinking about how glorious the kingdom would be when Christ threw off the Roman yoke, and Israel could flourish under the reign of the Messiah. They began to go to the other side of the Sea of Galilee and came face to face with a storm.
You know, we have just this moment in time, to live freely, and preach freely the glorious Gospel of the Lord Jesus. However, and the Lord knows, the end of this time appears to be at hand. Folks, nations will do different things. Politicians will decide on different things, and execute their plans in different ways. It is imperative for us to look beyond the fluff, smoke, and distractions and see the big picture.
The big picture is what God has laid out for us in the Scriptures. The time of the end, I have no doubt, is at hand. The coming of the lawless one is imminent. Does this mean that I will see him in my lifetime, maybe, and maybe not? The point is that the history of the nations is in the hands of God, and is directed to a particular outcome."
