"We live and think the same. Most people go to extreme lengths to help a loved one or even to get help for themselves. These people, in the Lord's day, had some roads, many trails and paths but not a lot of capacity for moving people other than carts, stretchers or maybe a beast of burden.

The Lord has situated Himself on the mountainside. The assumption that we make is that the Lord did not go all the way to the top of the mountain, but sat Himself in a place where He would heal but also teach and be heard.

I should point out that teaching is much more important than healing. Most people were showing up to see what the Lord would do next. How many people would He really heal? Was there anything too hard for the Lord? Yet, His message was what really mattered."
